This PETITION needs 325,000+ signatures to trigger this CITIZENS INITIATED REFERENDUM
by Friday 17th April 2020 ~ CAN YOU HELP???
To the House of Representatives, we, the undersigned, pursuant to the Citizens Initiated Referenda Act 1993, ask that an indicative referendum be held on the following question;
Should New Zealand stop using all cruel and inhumane poisons,
such as 1080, brodifacoum, and PAPP, to kill wildlife,
because these toxic substances inflict intense and prolonged, unjustifiable suffering on all animals, including native birds, pets, and livestock?

This will have you in tears ~ but everyone needs to read it to understand what the real horror is. It may be out of sight – out of mind – and drowned out by the bustle of city life – BUT IT IS HAPPENING – AND WE CANNOT PRETEND OTHERWISE & TURN A BLIND EYE!!! This sort of evil will flourish all while good people do nothing!!!

Most people are simply unaware of the extent of the torture, as MADAME SALAMI was, but when she realised she wrote to over 80 MPs and organisations, most of whom didn’t bother to respond, but the RNZSPCA issued this statement on 7th January 2019:
On the 7th February 2019 The Clerk of the House of Representatives approved the wording above, proposed by the FRIENDS OF SHERWOOD TRUST, for a question to be put to the people of New Zealand in a
Citizens Initiated Referendum
once 10% of the eligible voters, which amounts to at least 325,000, sign the PETITION within one year, as set out in the CIR Act 1993
Which has the provision for an extension of two months if the numbers are not met but the petition is still handed in – which we did on Monday 10th February:
and were notified officially on Monday 17th February that we now have until Friday 17th April to have the extra 288,000 signatures ready to hand over in Wellington.

Working Hard To Enhance The Neighbourhood Since June 1990
NB – the date on the petition form is to be ignored – because since we could not present enough signatures by Monday 10th February, we now have an extension of 2 months, from being notified of the petition lapsing, to still trigger the referendum. We now need to gather 288,000 by Friday 17th April 2020, and are calling on all animal welfarist to set up volunteer rosters to be out on hotspots in every neighbourhood possible to reach this target . . . see our BLOG . . .
